Like most of you I’m sure, I follow a lot of space news. But I found it hard to keep up with Australian space industry, because it’s drowned out by all the news about NASA, SpaceX, and all the other cool things around the world. But there’s a lot happening with space here down under, which just doesn’t get any airtime in the media.
To help fix that, I started Aussie Space Cast a few months ago, with a focus specifically on news and innovation in the space industry. Unlike other podcasts, I don’t talk about SpaceX or Jeff Bezos’s brother, or even about supernovae or Mars rovers. It’s exclusively about Aussie companies and researchers doing amazing stuff.
The latest episode is an interview with someone we all know - Moonshot founder and CEO, @Troy. Troy talks about how he got started in the space industry, some of the exciting startups in the cohort, the recent Moonshot funding, and a whole lot more.

Please let me know what you think, and from this group I’d especially like to know:
- What topics would you like to hear more about in the Aussie space industry?
- Do any of the Moonshot founders or mentors want to join for an interview?
- Should Troy build a real space elevator?
